Haris Shafique founded NJ Programs to make New Jersey's property tax relief programs easier to understand. He researches ANCHOR, the Senior Freeze, Stay NJ, and the PAS-1 application directly from NJ Division of Taxation publications and state budget documents, and updates every guide when the rules change.

The work is deliberately narrow. Rather than covering taxes generally, every guide on this site answers a question a New Jersey homeowner or renter actually asks during filing season: which programs am I eligible for, how much will I get, what is the deadline, and where is my payment. Each answer is traced back to a primary source — a Division of Taxation program page, an official notice, an enacted appropriations act — and each guide lists the sources it relies on so readers can check the work themselves.

NJ Programs is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the State of New Jersey, the Department of the Treasury, or the Division of Taxation. The site never asks for a Social Security number, banking details, or application information, and it links readers to official state channels for anything that requires them. Corrections are welcome and take priority over other work — the process is described in the editorial policy.
