Senior Freeze Checks Are Going Out: First 2026 Wave Issued July 15
The NJ Division of Taxation began issuing 2025 Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement) payments on July 15, 2026, covering applications filed by about May 1.
If you filed later — or haven't filed yet — the remaining 2026 waves are: filings from May 1 to June 1 pay on or before September 1; June 2 to September 1 pay by November 1; and filings up to the November 2 deadline pay on or before December 1.
A 'processing' status before your wave date is normal. If your wave has passed and nothing arrived, start with our payment-not-received checklist or call the Senior Freeze hotline at 1-800-882-6597.
